The Legacy

A Legacy in Three Chapters

Three defining chapters. Decades of music between them. One extraordinary legacy that lives on.

Coming Together by Rebel Rockers: a detailed black-and-white illustration of a Saint Lucian landscape set in a circle, with the band name lettered across the front

Coming Together

A defining moment

Coming Together arrived at the ideal time. Hubert “Breeze” Fevrier was already deep into his musical journey when he founded and led Rebel Rockers, bringing together a remarkable generation of musicians around a shared sound and vision.

The band would make only one recording — Coming Together, featuring “Coming Together” and “Soca Play” — but that single record captured a moment much larger than itself.

One band. One recording. One defining moment.

Pawòl Sèwiyé

The solo voice

With Pawòl Sèwiyé, Hubert “Breeze” Fevrier stepped forward as a solo artist, turning his attention to the language, stories, humor, traditions and everyday life of his people.

It was more than a solo project. Breeze used music to capture Saint Lucian identity in his own unmistakable voice — preserving cultural expression while helping reshape how that culture would be heard, celebrated and remembered.

The songs became part of the cultural fabric.

The artist found his solo voice. The voice helped reshape the culture forever.

The torch

And then, the journey came full circle.

More than four decades after Coming Together, Breeze entered another defining chapter — creating alongside his son, Thomas Fevrier, known musically as Mr. Platinum and through his charismatic alter ego, DEBIGBADWOLF.

For Thomas, this moment did not begin in the studio. He had been groomed for music from birth, growing up within the world Breeze helped create and carrying those lessons into a musical identity of his own.

With Buttercup 26, those two journeys finally meet on record — father and son, mentor and student, two generations creating together.

It isn’t simply the passing of a torch. It is the realization that the next generation had been preparing to carry it all along.

This is only part of the story. The full history, the people, the music and the stories behind the chapters continue on PMDMUZIKTV.com.

About Breeze

Hubert “Breeze” Fevrier is a Saint Lucian Cultural Icon Award recipient whose music is deeply rooted in the language, traditions and cultural identity of Saint Lucia. His work represents a form of cultural folk music built around storytelling, community, memory and the preservation of Saint Lucian expression.

Pawòl Sèwiyé brings together five remastered recordings from Breeze’s musical legacy, preserving an important part of a language and culture rarely represented in today’s global music landscape. The language heard throughout this collection is Saint Lucian Kwéyòl, a Creole language with deep historical and cultural roots, making these recordings not simply songs, but pieces of living cultural history.

Through Pawòl Sèwiyé, Breeze’s voice, stories and cultural contribution are being preserved and introduced to another generation, in Saint Lucia, throughout the Caribbean and across the diaspora.
